Being an officer requires dedication and vision for the chapter. Each year, we examine applications and interview members to try and mold the strongest leadership team. We love our officers and would love to have you as an officer one day, too!

- Agree to attend all local and state events (including a summer training)
- All officers must work on Business Achievement Awards (BAAs) in working toward Capstone level
- Meet with FBLA advisers weekly
- Plan, implement, and build chapter activities and programs
- Keep an amazing academic record and a clean discipline record
- Have a great attitude

President
Formal Duties: Presides over and conducts meetings. Calls special meetings as needed. Coordinates chapter activities by keeping in touch with the officer team, membership, and advisers. Serves as an ambassador in the community, region and state, on behalf of our local chapter. Works with Mr. Haskin to create agendas needed for the monthly meetings. Is required to have held an office prior to becoming president. Cannot be president of any other organization (unless approved by Mr. Haskin). Must have competed at regionals and attended at least one state competition. Must show responsibility and leadership skills. Support all officers in the carrying out of their duties. Must have a class or scheduled time to check in with Advisers daily. General Duties: Helps prepare articles to be submitted to the Thomasville Enterprise related to FBLA functions. Treasurer Formal Duties: Keep financial records neat and current. Is responsible for all fundraising planning, execution, and efforts. This means determining fundraisers for the club, accepting and organizing orders, balancing and deposit monies, and maintaining a spreadsheet of the financial orders. Is responsible for communicating with advisers, members, and the officer team ideas for fundraising and communicating with the organizations involved in the efforts. Must show responsibility and leadership skills. General Duties: Helps prepare articles to be submitted to the Thomasville Enterprise related to FBLA functions. Historians Formal Duties: Communicates with the President/Vice President about information to relay to members. Takes pictures at meetings and conferences. Maintains an accurate, up-to-date, history to include a scrapbook, Facebook Account, Twitter Account, and Instagram. Responsible for working with the Secretary to submit pictures and information to Georgia FBLA to highlight TCCHS FBLA. Must show responsibility and leadership skills. General Duties: Helps prepare articles to be submitted to the Thomasville Enterprise related to FBLA functions. Membership VP Formal Duties: He/she is responsible for developing creative meeting announcement flyers and providing sign-up sheets for members who plan on attending the meetings. The Membership Vice President distributes membership cards once they have been received from the National office. General Duties: Nurtures and encourages student and professional membership. He/she is instrumental in recruiting new members through attendance at the FBLA evening meetings. |
Vice President
Formal Duties: Assist the president in the discharge of duties and preside at meetings in the absence of the president. Is prepared to assume the duties and responsibilities of the president should the need arise. Is responsible for office-specific duties (e.g. recruitment and/or fundraising.) Serves as an ambassador in the community, region and state, on behalf of our local chapter. Must have competed at regionals and attended at least one state competition. Must show responsibility and leadership skills. General Duties: Plan and execute, with the assistance of the treasurers, an FBLA Fundraiser as a class, with the entire FBLA participating. Provide an outlet where other junior FBLA members can come to you with issues or ideas to be represented at our weekly officer meeting. The main duty of a class vice president is to maintain a working and fun relationship with your class. Secretary Formal Duties: Is responsible for public relations on the school, community, state and national levels (e.g. news articles, communicating with Georgia FBLA and submitting information to Monty Rhodes). Must show responsibility and leadership skills. General Duties: Helps prepare articles to be submitted to the Thomasville Enterprise related to FBLA functions. Community Service VP Formal Duties: The Community Service Vice President position is often filled by two or three members due to the magnitude of the position. They are responsible for coordinating all community service projects, including a fundraiser to benefit the March of Dimes. General Duties: The Community Service Vice Presidents suggest community service ideas to the chapter members and develop a better working relationship between the community and the chapter.
